Dravet Syndrome UK already had a website built on WordPress, so were happy to stick with what they know. They were impressed with the work we had done for Special Parents, and were keen to improve theirs.

Not only did we design them a brand new theme with improved navigation, news page and functionality, we installed it on a fresh installations of WordPress on a new server from A2 Hosting, so it was away from the people currently maintaining their current site. This meant that they were now in control of their site, passwords and annual costs.

Latest News Page keeps visitors coming back

We added custom contact forms and a stylish slideshow on the home page detailing their latest news.We then provided them with a maintenance package which suited them, which allows them to concentrate on providing high quality content for their site, leaving us to worry about the coding and updating. This means we get to continue working for them beyond the going live of their site.

We created a fresh WordPress theme, and advised on the Shared Web Hostingto get. We then installed WordPress onto the server and configured everything for the customer.

We then provided training on how to update the site and maintain it without the need for a developer, but we’re always here if they have any questions!

We continue to advise on the best way to update and promote the site as part of our aftercare service.

This was our first venture into WordPress, and the initial design was nothing like the final version. Our first job was to move all the blog posts over from the old database.

We then managed to get the thumbnails working for each post, which we have now replicated on some of our other sites.

Other than that, the theme doesn’t do anything special. This is where we test out plugins and new features before using them on other sites.

We have plans to package up this theme with different colour schemes and sell it as a package on theme market.

CP Property Maintenance wanted a simple website from which they could display all their current work from their every growing list of happy customers. We update the portfolio for them as and when requested. The site needed to provide good and clear ways for new clients to get in touch.

Their only main design brief was for the colours of the site to resemble the colour of their van.

The site was XHTML and CSS, which had a PHP backend and validated under W3 Rules. Graphics were all done in Photoshop and reduced in file size using Ifran View.

This site included a welcome page that had quick access to everything, his Facebook page, his contact page and online Driving Test booking. Also a quick look at his most recent successful student. The past students page stored everything in a database. We created a customer CMS for him to upload pictures of his latest students, as well as add, edit and delete past students.

A contact page is always a must, and this was simple, elegant and easy to use and provided a nice and easy way for new clients to get in touch.

This site is simple enough for the customer to maintain by themselves, but as always, we’re here if they need us.

The main site was done in XHTML and CSS, all valid as usual. There was a PHP backend which also used MYSQL database, and a Custom CMS for the student part.

This site is probably our biggest ever project, which is constantly being updated with new features. The basic pages are static, which are created by our software and then uploaded to the server. The special features are the Photo Album which reads the directory and displays everything including sub-folders. The Album automatically creates thumbnails for new Images.

Other features are the Guestbook and the Contact Page. The biggest sub project was the Online Dream Team. This was to help with their current fund raising competition, allowing users to enter teams eliminating the paper forms. We also introduced a Transfer System a year later, automating another feature.

Match Report displaying match facts and team sheets

A small feature we recently implemented was embeding Google Maps for displaying Training Venues and Home Pitches. The main site was XHTML and CSS, which all followed and validated under W3 rules, with a PHP backend. The Guestbook and Online Dream Team used MySQL to store data. The Online Dream Team uses Javascript to update the page without having to refresh the page.
