What is it?
Internet Activation is Wesley Computers Software Piracy Prevention.
Almost every bit of software provided by Wesley Computers uses this, and requires Internet Access to work.
How does it work?
Internet Activation works by contacting our server to check to make sure the Serial Number that you entered during installation is valid.
Downloading software from Wesley Computers is *FREE*, but you need to purchase the licence in order to use the software.
Once you have purchased your software, you will be sent an email with you Serial Number which you use during installation of the software.
Once the installation is complete, the next thing you are required to do is run your new software. When you run your software, you will be greeted with the Activation Wizard, which Activates your software for you. You will need to have access to the Internet to be able to Activate.
If your Activation was successful, then you will be prompted with the Activation Successful screen, you program will start as normal from now on.
If you was unfortunate not to Activate your software, this maybe because you installed the software on a different machine. Once you have Activated the software on one machine, you will not be able to Activate it on another. To do so, a second licence will have to be purchased.
What does this mean?
It means that your software is locked to your computer. This prevents piracy and software theft.
What if i need to re-install?
Activation is designed to cope in re-installation. You may not even need to Activate your software should you re-install.
If you re-install windows with the same copy and serial number, Activation should cope with this and Activate as normal.
